Question 1

What does TrimSift do in the current build?

Accepted Answer

TrimSift captures advertised vehicle details from dealership and CarGurus listing URLs so dealership staff can review them. A capture records what the listing says; it does not verify the details against the vehicle’s VIN or build data.

Question 2

Who reviews and verifies the captured details?

Accepted Answer

Dealership staff review the captured listing details and make any verification decision. Captured information is not an automatic verification result, and it should not be treated as a confirmed match.

Question 3

Does TrimSift compare listing details with VIN or build data today?

Accepted Answer

No. VIN and build-data comparison, including flags for possible mismatches for staff to verify, is planned and is not available in the current build.

Question 4

Is authoritative vehicle reference data connected?

Accepted Answer

A future VIN and build-data comparison needs a suitable licensed vehicle reference source. No suitable licensed source is currently connected, so that comparison and its mismatch flags are not available.

Question 5

Can TrimSift publish corrections directly to an ad?

Accepted Answer

No. TrimSift does not edit source listings or publish changes to ads. If staff decide a listing needs a correction, they make it through the listing’s original publishing workflow.

Question 6

Which listing sources are described for the current build?

Accepted Answer

The current build captures details from dealership and CarGurus listing URLs. No additional listing-site or publishing integrations are claimed.
